Azwindini dies & James becomes a sangoma

The Muvhango TVSA June teasers reveal that fan-favourite character James Motsamai will answer a calling to become a sangoma and that Chief Azwindini Mukwevho will die on Youth Day (16 June) and rise from the dead the next day.

AZWINDINI AND JAMES TRANSFORM

The Muvhango teasers indicate that the ancestors might punish Azwindini (Gabriel Temudzani) when he requests to have Mukondeleli’s coffin take the position of the throne in the royal house and that James (Dingaan Mokebe) will realise that he needs to become a sangoma when his son Lesedi mysteriously gets sick.

The royal house will turn upside down when Vho-Mukondeleli’s dead body is brought to the house.

Vho-Masindi will want her body to stay a night in the royal house tomorrow night and Azwindini will want her coffin to take the position of the throne on Thursday 2 June.

Her body will eventually leave the royal house on Friday 3 June but Azwindini will interdict her family and stop the burial on Monday 6 June.

The Tuesday 7 June reads:

“Azwindini gets summoned to Zwifhoni.” (a sacred place for the royal family).

He will get punished after refusing to visit the sacred place and later agree to the ancestor’s request when Vangani’s life hangs in the balance.

MUVHANGO’ VIEWERS REACT TO THE STORYLINE

@Ivy66983804:

“Now bring KK back to sweep Suzie off her feet…I wanna see something, please.”

@tsepi_g_:

Muvhango needs new writers. They are not even listening to viewers, trash boring storylines one after the other centred around that dumb king Azwindini. Aowa gone are the days when it use to be about the pride and glory of Venda culture and customs, real Venda royalty and practises, other tribes looked forward to watching and learning and being entertained by edgy storylines. Now it’s just recycled, predictable lousy nonsense.”
