Christine McGuinness is all of us as she vents about the horrors of last-minute Christmas shopping.

The star, 33, recently split from husband Paddy McGuinness, 48, but the former couple still live in the family home together with their children.

And their kids – Felicity, six, and twins Leo and Penelope, eight – are excitedly waiting for Christmas.

Christine herself is a little less ready for the festive season, as she shared a flustered video this week of her in her car after having a bit of a mare while shopping.

Taking to her Instagram stories on Wednesday evening, the TV star, who was diagnosed with autism this year, said her attempt at Christmas shopping was, to put it bluntly, ‘a massive failure.’

‘I’ve got back in the car with a headache, some chips, and I did buy a bottle of water as well but I left it at the till.

‘It’s just a really terrible time for me,’ she added, before laughing out loud.

‘I can’t do shopping. I hate shopping anyway and I tried to be way more organised this year and do loads online and none of it’s turned up.’

She went on to say that, thankfully, ‘the kids are sorted which is most important thing.’

‘But yeah I’m giving up, I’m not doing it, I’ve left with nothing but a headache basically.’

Christine then got distracted by the sun setting in the background and told her followers: ‘Look at that, I’m going to go find that, that’s what I’m going to do. That’s so much better.’

‘I’d rather look at the sunset than go shopping,’ she concluded.

And, true to her word, minutes later Christine shared a snap of the setting sun as she chased it down.

The mum-of-three is on good terms with estranged husband Paddy despite their split, and recently opened up about their Christmas plans with the children in an interview with OK!

She explained they would be spending Christmas together at home with the kids as usual, as ‘that’s what the children are used to.’

‘We don’t know what the future holds or how it’s going to be moving forward, but we’ll try to keep things as normal as possible.

‘I’m quite happy for him to be there with the children and it’s nice for them to see Mummy and Daddy just being alright. We can sit and have a cup of tea together and that’s fine,’ she went on.

She added that the children aren’t aware that she and Paddy have split up as ‘they’re so young’ and she and Paddy are trying to ‘stick to their normal routine.’

Directly addressing her and Paddy’s relationship, Christine described their bond as ‘amicable’ but did note that her ex’s hectic schedule means he’s not always around.

It comes after Christine was spotted kissing musician Chelcee Grimes as the pair enjoyed an evening out at Winter Wonderland together, though neither of the pair have commented on the smooch.
