Courteney Cox made a rare red carpet appearance and brought along her daughter Coco Arquette as her plus one.

The mother-daughter duo attended the Scream VI premiere at AMC Lincoln Square Theatre in New York City on Monday night.

Coco, 18, – who Courteney shares with her ex David Arquette – wowed in red on the star-studded evening, while the Friends star, 58, went for more muted tones.

The actress donned a black minidress for the occasion and kept the cold at bay in a velvet black blazer.

She completed the look with a pair of sheer black tights and pointed toe stiletto heels and carried her belongings in a small tote bag that featured a gold chain strap.

Her daughter contrasted in a blood red maxi dress with a corset-inspired neckline and floating structured skirt.

The teenager wore her blonde tresses loose and let them hang over her shoulders as she matched her mum’s height in chunky block open-toe heels.

Proving they had an adorable love for one another, they held hands as they posed for pictures on the red carpet before going inside to watch the highly anticipated horror film.

Courteney is returning to her role of Gale Weathers for the sixth time and stood proudly next to her offspring as she bathed in the moment.

Also in attendance on the night, the famous face shared the red carpet with her co-stars Devyn Nekoda, Liana Liberato, Melissa Barrera and Jenna Ortega.

The former sit-com star is the only actress that remained loyal to the franchise and returned time after time to film, following her part in the very first instalment.

She met her ex-husband and father to her daughter – David – while making the original Scream as he appeared in the first five flicks before his character was killed off.

The star revealed details about her character in the new saga to Variety: ‘I have a really good scene with Ghostface and it was amazing.

‘I’ve obviously been stabbed many times and all that, but this time, to work with Ghostface and not know who’s under the mask, it was a really fun.

‘Usually by the time I’m getting stabbed, I know who it is.’

Scream VI is set to hit cinemas on March 10, 2023.
