Lauren Goodger hides bruising from attack as she gets back to normality

Lauren Goodger is shielding her injuries as she attempts to get back to normality after being attacked.

The Towie star, 35, supposedly went into hiding by staying at a friend’s house recently, terrified to go outside in case she was jumped on again.

Lauren is thought to have suffered a fractured eye socket hours after she and her ex Charles Drury, 25, held a funeral for daughter Lorena, who died shortly after birth last month.

She was taken to hospital with serious facial injuries in the early hours about a week ago, with a close friend saying her face has been ‘unrecognisable’ due to bruising.

Stepping out this weekend, the reality TV favourite wore a pair of oversized sunglasses to cover her eyes.

Lauren looked downcast as she went about her errands, later sharing a rare Instagram selfie after keeping a low profile on social media.

She showed off the results of her new balayage hair makeover, purposely placing her long locks over her face and turning to the side in a selfie.

Lauren said she had been practising some ‘self love’ and she’s taking things ‘one step at a time’ to ‘slowly get back to normal life’.

Following the attack on Lauren, a Metropolitan Police spokesperson told ‘Police were called at 00:37hrs on Thursday, 4 August to reports of an altercation at a residential address in Upminster, Essex.

‘A man, aged 25, was arrested on suspicion of assault. He was taken to an east London police station and subsequently bailed pending further enquiries. Enquiries continue.’

Meanwhile, loved ones are rallying around the influencer, with friends taking to social media to praise her for being a ‘strong woman’.

Lauryn Goodman, 31, said it ‘brings me to tears’ to look at Lauren following the incident, encouraging others to ‘confide and reach out to other people’ if anyone finds themselves in a similar situation.

She described her friend as ‘one of the kindest people I’ve ever met’, telling Lauren that she has a ‘genuine soul’ despite others being ‘quick to judge’ her.

‘You have a genuine soul and would never ever wish bad on anyone. I wish I could take the pain away’, she penned.

‘Larose is so lucky to have such a strong woman mum.’

Lauryn added that she wished others knew how ‘funny’ and ‘beautiful inside and out’ her friend is, despite going through ‘the roughest, darkest, ride in secret.’

‘This is one of the problems with the celeb world and social media. Everyone is so quick to judge every little thing. You’re a real one and trust me things will get better’, she said.
