Messi not done yet in Paris

According to Eurosport, the Parisian club is confident that World Cup winner Lionel Messi will agree to sign a contract extension and spurn lucrative MLS offers in the process. The 35-year-old’s current deal expires in June and so far, the two parties haven’t started formal extension talks. It’s understood that Messi wants to continue playin at the highest level, with a goal to win the Champions League again.

The World Cup winner’s current deal is set to expire in the summer and the two parties are yet to engage in formal contract negotiations. However, Spanish media outlet Sport report that PSG remain “optimistic” that Messi is “eager to continue competing at the highest level” and that he still wants to win the Champions League again. He could even take a wage cut to secure a move, and is hoping PSG will play ball with any suitors willing to fork out €150 million. Premier League trio Man United, Liverpool and Chelsea are keen, and then there’s Real Madrid who have been keen for some time.
