Ahead of Sunday night’s Oscars ceremony, Hollywood’s A-listers donned their glad rags for the Chanel and Charles Finch annual pre-show dinner party.
Nicole Kidman and Luther star Idris Elba were among those in attendance at the glittering event and both parties turned heads as they took to the red carpet.
The celebration of stardom’s finest was held at the Polo Lounge in the Beverly Hills Hotel and saw the gathering of Tinsel Town’s elite that also included the likes of Lily James and Andrew Garfield.
The 55-year-old Australia actress opted for a glamorous navy tweed suit jacket and matching mini-skirt.
She showed off her legs in a pair of sheer black tights and accessorised with a long-string pearl necklace that hung around her neck.
The star pulled her locks up into a messy updo and she added striking make-up to adhere to the glittering theme of the evening.
Her ensemble was completed by a pair of sling-back kitten heels and a collection of sparkling jewels.
Nicole has a long-standing relationship with Chanel and has been a former face of the iconic brand’s Chanel No 5 perfume.
The celebrated actress modelled for the fashion label in 2004 and her luxury commercial – directed by Moulin Rouge director Baz Luhrmann – cost a staggering $33million (£27.4m), affording it the title as the most expensive campaign for the company to date.
Also spotted posing up a storm for the cameras was British actor Idris Elba, 50, with his wife Sabrina Dhowre Elba.
Fresh from his press tour for the new Netflix movie, Idris sported a navy windbreaker and pair of black suit pants while his glowing wife went for a figure-hugging floor-length stone grey dress.
The star kept it casual and finished off his red carpet outfit with some classic Dr Martin lace-up boots.
Lily James showed up for the evening of glamour in a lace midi-dress that featured a corset-style top and a beautifully detailed floral skirt.
The 95th annual Academy Awards will take place later this evening (Sunday 12) in Los Angeles at t the Dolby Theatre.
Hosted by Jimmy Kimmel, the night will see heavyweight nominees such as Austin Butler and Paul Mescal go head to head to get their hands on a golden gong.
