Perth twins have drawn a heated response after going public with their ‘ick’ list.
On TikTok, where they have more than 140,000 followers, Joseph and Jackson Edmonds are offering a public service to the female population, letting those who want to date them know that they’ll have to jump a few hurdles first.
In two of their most watched videos the 21-year-olds list their “icks” — habits that will have them running the other way.
Surprisingly, number one on their list had little to do with a woman’s looks or personality, but rather the kind of car she drives.
Sorry ladies who drive utes, that’s a turn-off according to the twins.
“Number one is when she drives like a ute, like a HiLux or something like that . . . no hate, but just not for me, nah,” one says.
But in good news for Suzuki Swift drivers everywhere, that’s a major turn-on, the Edmonds’ say.
“The moral of the story is just to drive a f***king Suzuki Swift — that’s hot, turn-on.”
Being taller than them is also a major no-no. “If I have to look up to her like this,“ one says glancing up, “makes me feel like a b***h, it’s just not going to happen.”
Not liking animals and, “yuck”, smelling bad are also deal-breakers for the twins. And there’s no hope for girls who are too loud, wear too much make-up or smoke.
“Last one, when she’s too loud, just can’t do it right I agree, don’t be too loud, burst me eardrums.”
The videos, which have together been viewed nearly one million times and are part of a larger TikTok trend where creators male, female and other list their icks, did not go down well with many — especially women who like to drive utes and 4WDs.
“I think you guys just feel a lil threatened by big boss bitties driving big boss cars ahah,” one outraged follower hit back.
Another wrote: “They can’t handle independent secure women?”
A bloke even chimed in with: “Boys, how can you not like girls in Utes? they wear jeans, they’re get their hands dirty and will back you in a fight 😂”.
For all those women worried they might have “icked” themselves out of contention for the twins’ romantic gaze, the good news is there’s another way to win them over.
In another two separate TikTok videos they’ve revealed the best compliments to give guys.
“Say any of these and we might fall in love with you, alright?” they tease.
“When a girl mentions that we are funny. Best sh*t ever, top of the tier.
“Second would have to be when you compliment us on our eyes, say we have pretty eyes. That’s pretty hot, it gives you butterflies, you know and makes you feel pretty good.”
Complimenting their hair, style or smell are also welcome “confidence boosters”, as is women telling them they feel safe when they are with them.
