‘They’ve been hunting me for two seasons’: Sane on joining ‘RHOD’

She’s been dubbed controversial, problematic, messy and many other words to describe a person who is allergic to peace. But according to Sane, none of those labels matter to her.

In an interview with News24, the private chef — real name Sanelisiwe Bhengu — revealed that she is on the show to stay.

Soon after her grand entry in the second episode of the third season, a misunderstanding between her and new addition to the series, Slindile “Slee” Ndlovu, ensued. During that misunderstanding, the cast members quickly learned that Sane does not want to be referred to as a caterer, but a private chef.

After that, a chat between her and former cast member Londiwe “Londie London” Zulu quickly went south, and she told Londie London that she could have saved her marriage if she had not been rude and overfamiliar.

When Nonku Willimas confronted Sane about her behaviour, she pretended to have forgotten.

But it is evident that Sane is not one to keep her thoughts and opinions to herself as she later trash-talked Annie and her business mogul husband Kgolo “Daguru” Mthembu’s marriage in the third episode. The newbie made a jaw-dropping statement, saying Annie was just a “lousy PA” who “slept her way to the top”.

With all the drama she has caused, Sane said viewers should brace themselves for a season for the books as she promises “more drama is coming”.

“More drama is coming, so I can’t honestly take social media seriously… they’re going to call me Mkabayi soon, so I might as well chill,” she said.

Sane further said that she is on every episode besides episode five.

“Expect the real Sane. I forgive and move easily. I love hard. I show emotions. I own up if there’s a need. I’m silly, but yea, I go hard, and I don’t take things seriously! In the next episodes, expect to see a rollercoaster journey,” she explained.

The private chef and lifestyle blogger also revealed that she should have joining RHOD in its inception.

“I joined the show because they have been hunting me for two seasons now, and this time I felt I was ready to join,” Daily Sun quoted her as saying.

“I was going through a lot regarding a business investment that went wrong. I was just not grown enough. Second season still, I was not ready, but this season I chose to join, and I chose to be a friend of the show,” she added.
