Victoria Beckham shares sweet snaps of her best friend Eva Longoria to celebrate her 48th birthday 

Victoria Beckham has marked her best friend Eva Longora’s birthday with a sweet Instagram post.

The fashion designer wished her pal many happy returns for her 48th birthday on Wednesday by sharing a series of photos showing their friendship over the years.

Victoria thanked Eva for ‘being an incredible friend, godmother to #HarperSeven, inspiration and partner in crime!’

‘She signed off her post with her signature phrase ‘kisses’, adding ‘we love you so much.’

The montage of photos, which had the Spice Girls hit Say You’ll Be There playing over the top, showed Victoria and Eva at milestone moments in their lives, including when Victoria was bridesmaid at Eva’s 2016 wedding.

Other sweet shots showed Eva hanging out with her goddaughter Harper Seven as well as the pair’s countless holidays and events together.

In another post Victoria thanked her pal for being ‘my ultimate #VBMuse’ as she shared snaps of Eva rocking her designs.  

The pair first grew close when Victoria and her husband  David moved to the US as the footballer took a contract with LA Galaxy, playing for the Los Angeles-based club from 2007 to 2013.

From chatting at fashion shows to attending David’s games together, the designer and the actress grew a strong bond that has stood the test of time.

As Victoria learned her way around the LA crowd and established herself as a designer, she turned to Eva, who was at the height of her TV career, playing Gabrielle Solis on Desperate Housewives.

 At the time, Eva was married to French-American basketball player Tony Parker, and would often attend his games.

Victoria designed Eva’s wedding gown when a few years later she tied the knot with José Bastón in 2016, and was also her bridesmaid on her big day.

Eva told Hello! Magazine at the time: ‘I asked Victoria to do my dress because I wanted it to be special and made with love – and I knew Victoria would make it with love.

‘Victoria was one of my witnesses, too – she signed the paper that says I was here – so it was a Victoria Beckham weekend.

‘She was the best, sweetest person to have there on this day. Not only did she do my wedding dress but she’s one of my best friends so for her to be there was so special,’ she added.

 Elsewhere, Eva is the godmother of Posh and Beck’s only daughter Harper, 11, who got baptised in 2019.

In 2014, Eva, who also said Victoria was ‘the most beautiful woman inside and out,’ said the former Spice Girls was one of her favourite people and her funniest friend.

‘She’s probably my funniest friend. She has so many jokes,’ she told Grazia.

In 2015, Eva told Daily Mail Australia: ‘We’re best friends and have shared lots of life lessons together. What we talk about is between us but we’ve been through stuff together.’
