Monday night’s episode saw plenty of drama in The Bloodline saga, with Kevin Owens and Cody Rhodes also getting involved with the latter just weeks away from facing Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship at WrestleMania 39.
The show started with The Bloodline, sans Roman, arriving at the arena, and Raw kicked off with Solo Sikoa battling Kevin Owens.
The two brawlers delivered a strong, competitive match with KO getting the win via disqualification after Jimmy Uso broke up a pin attempt and the brothers went on the attack.
Sami Zayn rushed down to save his lifelong friend, but Owens refused to take his hand and later suggested the former Honorary Uce should just ask Roman for forgiveness.
At the end of the night, Sami met Jimmy in the ring for a fantastic match with the two stars given plenty of time to treat the fans to something special.
Jey Uso appeared on the announce table near the end, cheering on Jimmy but giving Sami an opening to seize on the distraction for the win.
The crowd were on tenterhooks wondering which side Jey was truly on, first cheering as he left the ring to hug Sami – but that quickly changed to boos when he laid him out with a Superkick.
He insisted it was all about family, beating down the former Intercontinental Champion with Jimmy and Solo until Cody Rhodes made the save.
John Cena returns, Logan Paul knocks out Seth Rollins and more
In the second match of the night, Bianca Belair beat Carmella with the KOD despite repeated interference from Chelsea Green.
Asuka came out and spat blue mist in the latter’s face after the bell, before she and the EST of WWE stared each other down before their Raw Women’s Title match at WrestleMania.
The Miz acted as a moderator for Logan Paul and Seth Rollins’ confrontation, which eventually descended into a brawl.
Omos had MVP by his side for a dominating squash over Dolph Ziggler, who was sarcastically cheered on from the crowd by Mustafa Ali.
Johnny Gargano, with Dexter Lumis at ringside, picked up a big win against Finn Balor, despite having the entirety of The Judgment Day there for support.
However, Edge’s music played and distracted his teammates, giving the Rated R Superster an opening to sneak in and knock Finn off the top rope, and he delivered a Spear to his rival after the bell.
Piper Niven looked strong as she easily beat Nikki Cross in a decent but brief bout.
John Cena made an emotional return only to be quickly interrupted by Austin Theory, who tried to goad the legend into a match at WrestleMania.
Cena absolutely decimated him on the mic, ripping his character to shreds and shrugging off a joke about his bald spot before eventually accepting the challenge, meaning he’ll face Theory for the United States Title in Hollywood.
Maximum Male Models are still scouting Otis, and they urged Baron Corbin to beat Chad Gable to earn his own spot in the group.
However, he couldn’t get the job done as Chad Gable got a very welcome win over a much larger wrestler following a string of losses.
Elsewhere, Lita, Becky Lynch and Trish Stratus clashed with Damage CTRL, leading to the announcement that the trio will battle Bayley, Iyo Sky and Dakota Kai at WrestleMania.
WWE Raw airs Monday nights at 1am on BT Sport.
